Why?
Our Lord came from Heaven to earth to seek and save us from pain, from sin, infirmities, poverty, and all misery. And his Glorious Mission to do the same and more is our drive. When we talk of missions to the needy we mean it from our hearts. Some people ask ‘why do you need to reach the poor’?, the answer is: Because Christ has given us that heart to reach the needy; the compassionate Heart of Christ is what we have inherited as his followers and disciples. This is the main reason we commit to visit them and bless them with food, water, education, shelter, and more. We are therefore mandated to reach the orphans according to James 1: 27a “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction,…”
Together with our partners we are reaching one orphan at a time and we are advancing to make a significant impact in the lives of many.
Glory to our Heavenly Father who mandates us to show them His love.
- This Orphanage is located in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
- Initiated by Shekinah – Help the needy Foundation in Cameroon,
- The managers in Cameroun are Mme Beatrice Pokam and Mme Marianne Bolo.
- The local team presently hosts 29 children of ages 0 to 18 years.
- The project is supported by generous partners and by the Shekinah Help the needy Foundation of the Netherlands.
- The goal is to help the children, love them, educate and take care of them until they can fulfill a significant adult life.
